Besides its own research activities, every year the Jean Monnet Chair is pleased to host a number of visiting scholars from Spain and abroad. Visitors take part in the Jean Monnet seminar, which is an opportunity for them to present work in progress and receive feedback from colleagues in their field. In addition, the Chair has a full programme of talks, study groups sessions and conferences in which visitors are encouraged to participate.

Filipe Gracioli is MA student at the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita (Brazil). During his visit at the University of Santiago de Compostela he will carry out a research project on literary geography and children's literature in Brazil and Spain during the 1910s-1920s.

Vikash Singh is assistant professor at the Indira Gandhi National Open University (India). During his visit at the University of Santiago de Compostela he carried out research on translation relationships between India and Spain, and subaltern theory

Charles Sabatos is assistant professor at Yeditepe University (Turkey). During his visit at the University of Santiago de Compostela, he carried out research on minor literatures and translation studies, with special emphasis on Central European literatures.

Wasantha A. Liyanage

Wasantha A. Liyanage is senior lecturer at the University of Peradeniya (Sri Lanka). During his visit at the University of Santiago de Compostela, he will pursue his research on cosmopolitanism theories.

Subhas Yadav is a graduate student at Jawaharlal Nehru University India. During his visit at the University of Santiago de Compostela, he will carry out research on the modern reception of El Cid, the imagination of the Other and the role of the Camino del Cid.
